As an expert staff developer known world wide, I often receive as many as 15 requests for help and advice each day. Such a volume of requests means that I must maximize my time and be careful to work efficiently. To do so, I have developed a strategy for giving free advice. If you would consider this strategy, you can determine in advance whether and how I might help you.

1. I am motivated to help as many people as much as I can.

• However, I limit time spent when requests are about questions I have already answered in a publication or on my web site.
• When I get a request that I have NOT previously written about, I will answer that request by writing a paper on that topic, sending a copy to the person asking for help.
• Then, I also make that same paper available to everyone either as a publication I sell, or for free on my web site.

So, BEFORE you send me a request for free help...

2. Check my Publications List, order, and read the papers that I have written to capture my experience and advice. These papers are listed:

• In the publications list for the written information that I sell.

If you are an educator, I will gladly help you for FREE for about 30 MINUTES. If the help you seek requires more in-depth consultation, that costs $1 per minute after the free 30 minutes have expired. For many people, this is still the most cost-effective way to get expert consulting, as it requires no expenses be paid for travel to your site.
