Collins Avenue Resource Center Planned
|
Offering free resources for educators and
business coaches, Teachers Mentors will open a new
office in South Beach this year on
Collins Avenue to aid in training, coaching and
professional development. Providing in-depth advice,
support and consulting, Teachers Mentors is
targeting over a dozen key locations in South
Florida to expand operations in the coming months.
The Collins Avenue Resource Center hopes to
welcome dedicated professionals at the elementary,
secondary and higher education levels who are
interested in personal enrichment and professional
excellence. With a goal to maximize teacher
performance beyond the current thresholds, Teacher
Mentors helps school systems exceed expectations by
creating optimal teacher performance.
Based upon 2008 reports, the United States spent
$10,995 per student on elementary and secondary
education, which was 35 percent higher than the OECD
average of $8,169. At the postsecondary level, U.S.
expenditures per student were $29,910, more than
twice as high as the OECD average of $13,461.
Working in concert with these increased investments,
Teachers Mentors provides performance assessments,
professional educator workshops and targets specific
areas of improvement to reach determined goals over
the training period. Follow up classes, summer
refreshers and skills-based evaluations help to
ensure positive progress.
Teachers Mentors helps educators work harder and
smarter, which benefits every student every day! |
